About me

Hi, I’m Leslie (they/she), a Full Spectrum Doula based in Durham, North Carolina. I’ve been working with babies, parents, and growing families for over a decade—and truthfully, I’ve been caring for little ones in some way since I was a kid myself. My work is rooted in empathy, community, and a deep belief that everyone deserves care that feels affirming and inclusive. I trained with Doula Training International, and my approach draws from my background as a parent educator, caregiver, and lifelong advocate for family-centered, trauma-informed care.

As a queer, Latina doula, I know how meaningful it is to be supported by someone who sees and celebrates your whole story. My work spans the full spectrum of reproductive experiences—fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, loss, and abortion. Whether I’m teaching a class, supporting a new parent through sleepless nights, or sitting in quiet companionship with someone processing loss, my goal is always the same: to meet people where they are, with compassion, patience, and respect.

I currently live in Durham, NC, but I grew up in Los Angeles, and those roots have shaped my love for community, connection, and care that extends beyond the individual. I’m also in the process of growing my own nontraditional family with my partner and close friends—a journey that reminds me every day that there are infinite ways to build family and to love. Being a doula feels like a natural extension of who I am—it’s about showing up, listening deeply, and helping people feel steady and supported through some of the most profound moments of their lives.
